We are back in São Bento!
Sorry for the slow updates, lots of moving around lately. Some of our best pics are also in a different SD card so I can’t upload them, like all the ones from Sao Paulo. We went to the MASP art museum which was great. They had exclusive van Goghs.
We are prepared for Christmas, we think we bought a pork loin today but we aren’t sure because the butcher didn’t speak English.
Lago Azul! A lake in a cave that naturally glows blue. Fun/scary trek getting down there too.
Safari day!! It took 3 hrs to get there and we had to wake up at 5am but it was so worth it. The soup in the top picture is piranha soup and the fish in the picture of me in the middle is a piranha I caught! I caught two and tom only caught one, what a loser. We saw a wild ocelot and followed it and it was so pretty and fast. There are millions of birds and capybara and we saw a deer kind of thing that I can’t remember the name of, its in the last picture. When we went on a boat to go fishing there were a lot of alligators swimming and our guide fed two some piranhas. The sound their jaws make when they snap shut is ridiculously loud. In the middle of the day we had a break and the pool had a slide!! It was so hot today, we left a can of coke outside and when tom tried drinking it it burned his mouth. Jumping in the pool off the slide was literally heaven.
What a cool day!!! Lago azul tomorrow!!
